Duchamp & Sons are the young people's group at the Whitechapel Gallery in east London. In this short film Recreative met with several members of the group to find out how, why and when they joined and to learn more about Under Your Eyelids, the art and music festival they were planning.
Under Your Eyelids was the first one-day festival for young people to be held at the Whitechapel Gallery, on 5 November 2011. It featured workshops and performances from musicians, including collaborations with Community Music, a youth and community music organisation based in Tower Hamlets. Meet the participating performers and artists and discover how they each interpreted and responded to the work of Wilhelm Sasnal, that was on show at Whitechapel Gallery at the time. You can also check out the different workshops led by Duchamp & Sons, the Whitechapel Gallery's young people's forum, that were inspired by the artistic greats - Picasso, Kandinsky and Duchamp. www.cmsounds.com
